Pad Thai is one of the most well known of all Thai dishes. Although the image above shows shrimp, any other protein can also be enjoyed such as beef, chicken, pork and tofu for vegetarians. Authentic Pad Thai should include a number of ingredients and offer several distinct flavors to tempt the palate. Pad Thai should be sweet, salty, slightly sour, a bit smoky and even spicy (if you prefer). Noodles should be fried in the wok, not boiled. That’s what really brings out the flavor!
